Are You Wearing the Right Boots?

Problem:

Worn Through Upper

If you have holes in your uppers or worn out toecaps, you are probably someone who uses your boots to balance and lift equipment or lumber. Or maybe your boots get scuffed up due to repetitive use on abrasive surfaces as you work.

Solution:

We suggest selecting a boot with heavier leather and/or a reinforced toecap to better stand up to this kind of wear.

Problem:

Broken Laces/Eyelets

It's annoying - but laces will break and eyelets will pop. Maybe your laces are short or maybe you torque them up a little too tight. Eyelets can get brittle from drying out on your front porch in the sun. Worn-out eyelets can also contribute to laces wearing down over time.

Solution:

Here are some things to consider: Rawhide laces, metal eyelets instead of plastic, or loops instead of hooks. Replacement laces are also available.
